After getting admission,i was searching for other people(mostly girls) who have taken admission in my college.I came across a profile of a girl and i added her in friendlist as i thought she is marathi.later we started chatting n i came to know that she is bengali.She told that she play guitar and a hardcore fan of nirvana,led zeppelin,greenday,metallica etc.I was completely unknown to these genre of music.Actually i used to hate english music except Pink Floyd.On my 1year basic guitar learning experience I told her that i like hindi music more etc etc and tried to hide my knowledge(??) about english music.
It was first day of college.Sir told to give intro.In intro i proudly told that i play guitar....but pphhheewww!! many other told that their hobby is playing guitar.I spotted that fat guy,he told that he likes singing and likes writing poems n stories.He even told that he would like to be the CR of our class.We all supported him with a big applause.When the day was over that fat guy met me n told that his name is vikrant and we did a shake hand and went home.
It was our first friday in VIT.Maths lecture was going on n someone told that a rock concert is there in amphi at 4-30.Maths leture was going on and some senior guys were playing Rock on! in concert.I was very eager to there.As the lecture ended i went there with ankita,omkar,sharanya n some other guys.We enjoyed Bheegi Bheegi,Bande,Lamhey n went as we wanted to catch train when they were playing Jee Le,their own composition.I saw a signboard mentioning band name Ehsaas.
Vikrant had a friend circle from ruia and vidyarthi dadar branch.I also started mixing with them i was also from vidyarthi but from thane branch.One day he introduced me to a guy saying he too plays guitar.I asked him from how many days he is playing,he told from 2-3months and he plays keyboard too.He was a music freak.He showed me some english songs collection in his mp3.I didnt understand anything about those songs but at the same time everyday i used to watch video of Day thet never comes by Metallica.That guy Aditya told that he can play that song on guitar,i was impressed.
Once vikrant n me were talking about some marathi song,that time he told me a sa re ga ma pa contestant sung that very well and she is student of aditya's mom.I asked aditya's mom??that time vikrant told that he is son of great singer Padmaja phenany-joglekar.I was surprised that how aditya can be such a metalhead when his mom is great marathi singer.
Later we everyday used to meet in recess and used to talk about music.That was the time when i was first introduced to english music.
Later we started exchanging music data n downloaded a lot stuff.I became fan of metallica,nirvana,dire straits,led zeppelin.We started watching various concert videos,guitar related videos on youtube.Then came the fresher's party of college....
I was in contact with seniors,especially Ehsaas rockers krishna,saneel,arnab,aniruddh,bhushan.Krishna told that FE is getting a chnace to perform this year.I met him and he told he gonna form like a band thing as me vikrant and pooja,the same girl to whom i used to chat with.Then i met pooja,for the first time.We decided about some songs,o'course hindi and though aditya was with us he was not much interested in band thing.
As Rock on!! fever was going on we decided to cover socha hai,rock on,pichle saat dino mein.A friend came with keyboard me,pooja,aditya brought out desi made cheap quality acoustic guitars we showed our playing to Ehsaas.At the same time i made a re-lyricsed version of pichle saat dino mein which became instant famous.Due to college authorities we didnt get chance to perform in party but it created a spark in us to set a big fire...
After a lot maskafying i convinced my dad that an electric guitar is necessary to play all of punk,metal stuff.With a lot conditions and assurance of 1st class in exam dad bought yamaha pacifica,zoom processor and marshall amp for me.Aditya was not positive for a girl in band and we all wanted aditya as our lead guitarist.It was not decided that time that who gonna take which part.Aditya was improvising his tapping skills from various videos on net.For me,it took a time to come out of typical hindi rhythms.Vikrant,he was trying hard to come out from is Socha Hai style typical singing(FE VITans knw this style well).And Pooja,she was working on a composition.One day she came to me with a recorded unplugged tune.I was not much comfortable to work for english song.Finally i wrote Anjaney on that tune and everyone liked it.Later pooja recorded it with her sis as unplugged version,soon aditya gonna add solo in it.It gonna be our first fullfledge song.With time it was decided that pooja gonna take bass,aditya lead,me rhythms,vikrant vocals...still we have no drummer.
Then came Karan dalvi(KD) in picture.With resemblence of name with KD in rock on,he has same rockstar looks.He is pro in tabla with a complete 10 years learning.Soon he gonna take drum part of our band.
Later i started listening more of english songs...mostly metal like iron maiden,metallica,slayer,anthrax,megadeth,dream theater and many other.Currently condition is,i rarely listen hindi.With 2-3 jamming we have got a good sync with each other.Even we are getting popular as a band in our friend circles.but..
But still lot things to do aditya n pooja's new guitars are coming after exam,Vikrant working on new lyrics and his vocals,I am learning from Ehsaas guitarist n keyboard player Saneel.We have to practice a lot for perfection.
These vacation we are working on our first song set...a serious start of our band...beginning of jorney of some crazy metalheads...to give you fistfull of METAL..\m/
